The goal of the litigation is to assure meaningful access to the DV2021 program as promulgated by congress, including the timely scheduling of interviews and adjudication of visa applications or the preservation of the named plaintiffs' visa eligibility.
Please note: depending on the number of eligible plaintiffs we may elect to file this action as a single lawsuit or as multiple consulate specific complaints.
HOW DO I JOIN AS A NAMED PLAINTIFF?
Submit the Eligibility Questionnaire. We will let you know by email if you are eligible and, if so, send further instructions on completing the required steps: 1) uploading documents; 2) signing a contract of representation; and 3) paying the legal fees.
WHY ONLY THESE CONSULATES?
Based on our investigation we have concluded that unfairly restrictive rules and practices in place at these consulates are denying many selectees the opportunity to benefit from the statutorily codified DV program.
Please see Problem Consulates Litigation 1.0 for additional litigation eligible consulates.
WHAT ARE THE LEGAL FEES?
The initial fee is $1,500, with an additional $350 due upon receipt of an interview notice.
The initial fee is considered earned on payment and is not refundable. The second payment is due only upon the successful scheduling of the plaintiff's interview.
Plaintiffs in this lawsuit may join the Regulatory Challenge Lawsuit at the discounted fee of $250.
IS INDIVIDUALIZED CONSULAR REPRESENTATION INCLUDED IN THE FEES?
Yes. Case-specific consular representation is included in the fees. This representation includes full eligibility and document review; assistance with consular scheduling and/or transfers as needed; and individualized interview preparation.
HOW WILL NAMED PLAINTIFFS BE KEPT APPRISED OF DEVELOPMENTS IN THE CASE?
Named plaintiffs will have access to the members-only portal on this website and the LOLRG Litigation App where we provide regular updates, share legal documents, and hold scheduled chats. We will also hold zoom calls where named plaintiffs will receive updates and be able to ask questions of the lead counsel.
DO YOU GUARANTEE SUCCESS?
